TB Vets - A Proud History

TB Vets 1974 Since 1946, TB Vets has offered a key return service to British Columbians. The Keytag service was started by members of the Tuberculous and Chest Disabled Veterans Association to provide work for World War Veterans who returned from overseas service suffering from tuberculosis and other respiratory ailments.

TB Vets continues to return lost keys to their grateful owners, with donations to our Keytag Program now funding equipment for hospitals across BC, research to end tuberculosis, and education for respiratory therapists.

Keeping the Tradition Alive

As the orgininal TB Veterans retired, they wanted to make sure that the organization continued to offer employment to people with disabilities. They understood from their own experiences, that having a disability does not mean that a person is not as capable as anyone else. TB Vets is proud to continue hiring people with disabilities, who prove to us everyday how able they are.

Like the veterans before them, these employees are committed to the community and to the services they offer British Columbians. Your ongoing support ensures that we can provide this employment.

Veterans and the children and grandchildren of veterans continue their involvement as volunteer directors and members of the TB Vets organization.
