TB Vets is committed to ensuring the protection of your privacy through responsible personal information management practices. We value the trust we have built with our donors, members and the people of BC, and recognize how important it is to care for the information that you choose to share with us.
While we have always respected your privacy and safeguarded your personal information, we have strengthened our commitment to protecting your personal information as a result of British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (SBC 2003, C.63) (PIPA).
Personal information provided to TB Vets (such as your name, address, telephone number etc.) in order to donate and subscribe to the services offered by TB Vets, is collected under the legal authority of the Societies Act (RSBC 1996, C. 433). Any service providers collecting, using or disclosing personal information on behalf of TB Vets must also comply with PIPA.

We do not share your information with other third parties, businesses or individuals except as authorized by law or as directed by you at the time of collection of your personal information.
If we use your personal information to make a decision that directly affects you, we will retain that personal information for at least one year so that you have a reasonable opportunity to request access to it.
If at any time you wish to unsubscribe to any of our services you may do so by contacting us at: info@tbvets.org
We are committed to ensuring the security of your personal information in order to protect it from unauthorized access, collection use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal or similar risks. Security measures in place include the use of locked filing cabinets, physically secured office space where personal information is held or being processed, the use of User IDs, passwords, firewalls, and restricted employee access as appropriate (i.e. only those that need to know will have access).
You have a right to access your own personal information subject to limited exceptions. A request to access personal information must be made in writing and must provide sufficient detail to identify the personal information being sought.
We will make the requested information available within 30 business days, or provide written notice of an extension where additional time is required to fulfill the request. A minimal fee may be charged for providing access to personal information. In such cases you will be notified of the fee in advance and provided the opportunity to either continue or discontinue with your information request.
We do not gather any of your personal information in support of the TB Vets programs simply as a result of you logging onto our website. We make no effort to identify public users of our website unless required to do so as part of an internal investigation or other law enforcement purpose.
Your information is only collected when you supply it voluntarily through the various TB Vets donor registration processes. All of our online forms use password protocols and encryption software to protect the information given when a product or service is requested and/or paid for online.
