Fore! a good time, Fore! a great game, and Fore! a good cause, Burnaby came Fore! TB Vets, an indoor mini-golf tournament. Players toured our building, learned about our what we do, and played gold to support TB Vets. To learn more, click here.
It was a frosty night in Maple Ridge, when the 2007 Santa Claus Parade made it's way through the crowd. It had snowed all day, but the clouds cleared for Santa.
Here at TB Vets, we were excited to debut our new, inflatable parade float. Unfortunately, we had a small technical problem. The generator, which was keeping the float full of air, caught on fire. We had to turn it off, so only a few parade-goers saw our float in its full glory. We still had a wonderful time in the parade. Look for us in other Lower Mainland parades in 2008!
Legacy GalaTB Vets hosted our second annual Legacy Gala on Sept. 27, 2007. All money raised at the Gala will help people in BC in respiratory distress. We hope to see you at our 2008 Gala!
Wheels in Motion On June 3, TB Vets staff participated in the wheelchair relay at the Maple Ridge Wheels in Motion festival. TB Vets had a close battle. In the end, TB Vets came in second place. A rematch is scheduled with the first place team.
Amongst the music and balloons, TB Vets hosted a booth at this year's Hats Off Day Parade in Burnaby. At the booth Janna and a volunteer handed out beautiful "Celebrate" ribbons. They also had children try and blow a balloon up through a straw to demonstrate how difficult it is for people with respiratory illnesses to breathe.
