It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harry Ho. Harry worked for TB Vets from 1957 until his retirement in 1990 at the age of 68. To say that he was an important member of our team throughout his 33 years of dedicated service would be an understatement. Harry, who fought a long battle with TB which he contracted overseas during the war, was a constant reminder of why TB Vets was founded in the first place. Harry passed away peacefully at Eagle Ridge Hospital yesterday morning, December 13th, at the age of 88. His life is testimony to the proud legacy of our founding veterans and his story speaks for an entire generation.

TB Vets Charitable Foundation has proven to be as relevant today as it was when the organization was founded back in 1946. As today’s young veterans return home to BC from military service suffering from respiratory illnesses, including tuberculosis, TB Vets holds fast to its 65-year mission to help British Columbians with respiratory diseases lead healthy and productive lives.

August 23, 2010. Like so many charities that struggled through the economic downturn from late 2008 through 2009, TB Vets experienced a significant decline in donations. Downturn, it seems, equated to turndowns. "In years past, we've seen some dips before," says Susan Keyes Ashton, Executive Director, "but this two-year slump has really taken its toll."
