Green Zebra: A Partnership for Today and Tomorrow!
What’s black and white and green all over? The Green Zebra Guide to Local Savings for Sustainable Living! TB Vets Charitable Foundation has partnered with Green Zebra, now in its 2nd year. Green Zebra is a coupon book offering deals on Lower Mainland eco-products and services. The $30 guide also offers several pages of ideas for simple things you can do today for a greener tomorrow, from buying locally and being smart about water consumption, to wearing organic cotton and entertaining the eco-friendly way.
Offering thousands of dollars in savings, Green Zebra contains over 250 exclusive offers from popular local businesses such as Nesters Food Market, Choices, Tenth & Proper, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Aurora Bistro, John Fluevog, Saje, Provence Marinaside, Co-operative Auto Network, and Banyen Books. From green home solutions to massage and spa services, Green Zebra has local savings for sustainable living.
Sales of the guide will support TB Vets, but other community groups can benefit as well by selling the Green Zebra Guide as a fundraiser. Sustainability is important for the environment, and important for our communities as well.
TB Vets’ mission is to help BC breathe. We want to ensure that anyone in BC with respiratory problems has access to the best equipment and care available. What we do is one half of what is needed to fight respiratory illness. By presenting green products that help the environment and keep our air clean, the companies featured in Green Zebra complete the equation.
Care and treatment of respiratory problems is vital, but prevention is better. The Green Zebra Guide contributes to both fronts. Funds raised from this book help support TB Vets, and the businesses in the guide offer consumer choices to build a healthy, sustainable community.
WWII veterans with tuberculosis and other lung problems founded the TB Vets Keytag program as a way to employ themselves. With the Keytag proceeds, these veterans fought respiratory distress. Today, TB Vets provides employment to people with disabilities, and funds respiratory equipment, research and education across BC. We pride ourselves on more than sixty years of social enterprise. The Green Zebra guide, which promotes green living and helps community groups fundraise, is a perfect partner for us.
