Thousands of children and adults who have asthma and other breathing conditions need special help and care
all their lives. And many older people, whose lungs can no longer do the job alone, struggle for every breath
they take.
Thanks to your generous donations to TB Vets, BC hospitals now have vital respiratory equipment on hand whenever it is needed.
Every year over two million people die because of tuberculosis (TB). These people are young and old,
rich and poor, men and women. In Canada alone, over 2,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. And there
is still no cure.

TB Vets is helping to ensure the health of future British Columbians by providing bursaries for students of the Respiratory Therapy Program at the University College of the Cariboo in Kamloops, BC. Funding has also been provided for the lease of up-to-date respiratory equipment for class use and hospital emergencies.
TB Vets provides employment for people with various disabilities. Like the veteran workers before them, these people are committed to their community and to the services they provide for British Columbians.
