Employment for People with Disabilities
TB Vets was founded by WWII veterans who returned from the war with tuberculosis and other chest ailments. They had a hard time finding work. Employers wouldn't hire someone with a disability. Our founding veterans started the TB Vets Key Return Service as a way to create jobs for themselves. Over time, TB Vets grew into a charity dedicated to fighting respiratory distress.
To date, TB Vets Charitable Foundation has given over $10 million dollars toward respiratory equipment, research and education in BC. TB Vets also continues to hire people with disabilities, who produce and manage the keytag campaign. Our founding veterans wouldn't have it any other way.
For over 60 years, TB Vets has mailed hundreds of thousands of keytag packages across BC each year. We have considerable expertise in direct mail. In order to provide more employment and raise more money to help BC breathe, TB Vets opened a business unit, TBV business solutions. TBV business solutions provides direct mail services, and creates recognition products, including ribbons, engraving and awards.
