Breathe Easier

This Wildfire Season

In Memory of Carter,
Protecting Communities from the Dangers of Smoke

Wildfires are starting earlier, lasting longer, and putting more lives at risk—especially the most vulnerable among us.

In the summer of 2023, 9-year-old Carter Vigh from 100 Mile House lost his life to a severe asthma attack, worsened by heavy wildfire smoke. His story is a heartbreaking reminder of the urgent need for clean air solutions across BC.

In Carter’s honour, TB Vets and the BC Lung Foundation are launching an emergency initiative to bring air quality tools and education to two underserved communities: Dawson Creek and Gold River.
